It’s time to order your Roofing Materials
After your contract has been signed, your job will be added to the job list. Materials can then be ordered. The job list may be short or lengthy depending on the season, previous weather events, and the workload. Many homeowners don’t notice damage after hailstorms, and so the job requests continue to come in. We schedule 50 roofs per week, and we have hundreds of jobs on our list. Although we do our best to predict when your materials will arrive, there are many variables that can cause delays.
When will your roofing materials arrive?
It depends on the type of shingles you order and the amount of roofing work required. Our suppliers supply materials for all roofers. It could take several weeks for the roofing suppliers to place your order. We do our best to give an accurate window as the suppliers work according to their own schedules. We are not always able to get the information we need from suppliers.
Now your Roofing Materials are Ready for Delivery
After your roofing materials have been delivered, one of our installation teams will be assigned the job. All of our installers have years of experience and are certified. They will do an excellent job installing your roof. We can schedule as far as 8 weeks ahead during busy times, but we aim to have your roof up in 3-4 weeks. Although we would love to be in a position to call every customer to inform them when the roofer is due, there are times when that is not possible.
Roofing Crew arrives to replace your roof
You will receive a new roof the day after the roofing crew arrives. Most jobs are completed in one day by our installers. They may not notify you that they are coming and you don’t have to be present when they arrive. Please remember that a roof replacement can be a large-scale construction project. Your home will become a construction zone. Even if the roof has multiple layers, it is difficult to tear it off. It will be disruptive, noisy, and dirty. We want to leave your home in a better or equal condition than when we arrived.
Gutter Repair and Replacement
If you have a roofing contract that includes gutter repair or replacement, an additional crew will be responsible for this work. This work will take place after the roof has been replaced. Roof and gutter are two parts of a system that work together. The gutter crew will interlay the gutter system by leaving the downspouts to the roofers. The gutter crew may not notify homeowners when they will arrive at their home to begin work. Crews usually finish on the same day and no one has to be at home during the process.
Inspection is required for all roof replacements
The Building Inspector in your county must inspect all new roofs. After your roof has been completed, we will order an inspection through your local building department. Reggie Reed Roofing cannot control the time the inspector takes to inspect your roof. It all depends on how busy the county is. The Building Department has provided us with turnaround times that range from one day to two months. We are not able to communicate with our customers about inspection times because the building department doesn’t give us their schedule.
