- Standard Coating Pan– The coating solution is distributed evenly and the drying time can be reduced by spraying.
The standard coating pan is good for the sugar and film coating process.
- Perforated pan systems– These pans are more efficient users of energy. Their design increases the efficiency of drying.
In the glatt coater, various airflow configurations are possible. This can also be used for both film and sugar processes.
- Fluidized or air suspension systems– This system is popular to coat multiparticulate systems and they work as an alternative to pan coating.
